1998

AUTOMEISTER (KWK) becomes a wholly-owned AS subsidiary. The information system “Info CD” (developed by KWK) premieres. Beginning of the AS Internet era.

 

1999

Schaeffler acquires full ownership of LuK.

 

2000

AS was the first company to implement the "AutoView” software. The program stored automotive market data which enable parts dealers and workshops to plan targeted marketing strategies.

 

2001

Market launched of the LuK RepSet for CV.

 

2002

AS Autoteile-Service GmbH changed its name to LuK-Aftermarket Service oHG (LuK-AS). Schaeffler acquired FAG. INA and FAG became the second biggest manufacturer of rolling bearings in the world.

 

2003

In April, the automotive aftermarket activities of the entire Schaeffler Group were united under the global responsibility of Siegfried Kronmüller. With its manufacturer brands LuK, INA and FAG and dealer brands HK and Ruville, LuK-AS had become a big global aftermarket organization.
